Phase 1: Research
The research for this project was to find a haiku poem that was about nature. We then had to design a booklet that helped tell a visual story along with the text. The haiku I choose was A Rainbow by Donna Brock. The whole haiku describes a rainbow and goes "Curving up then down, meeting blue sky and green earth, melding sun and rain."
Phase 2: Iterations
For my concept, I wanted to stick with the same idea of having the A be apart of latte art surrounded by a cup, however i wanted it to be more implied and less literal. The old logo also felt too complicated and had nothing to be a just a logo instead of a wordmark attached. The initial sketches show the concept with simplicity.
Phase 3: Final Composition
My final composition focused on simplicity while still maintaining effective communication.
